What is MHT-CET?

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses in various colleges across Maharashtra. It is the gateway to prestigious institutes like COEP, VJTI, and ICT.

Purpose & Scope

To facilitate merit-based admission to professional degree courses in engineering, technology, pharmacy, and agriculture in Maharashtra state.

State-level examination for admission to government, government-aided, and private unaided institutions in Maharashtra.

Recognition & Prestige

Recognized by all colleges in Maharashtra including top institutes like COEP, VJTI, ICT, and WCE.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed/appearing in HSC (12th) or equivalent with relevant subjects.

Age Limit

No age limit for appearing in MHT-CET.

Number of Attempts

No limit on number of attempts.

Nationality

Indian Nationals only.

Additional Requirements

  • •For Engineering: Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject.
  • •For Pharmacy: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects.
  • •Minimum 50% aggregate marks for general category (45% for reserved categories).
  • •Candidates must have passed English subject.
  • •Domicile of Maharashtra required for reservation benefits.
